Until we get articles of our own I thought I'd get some feedback on this one from pretty much the only source of real gaming news on the net.

Even though it's an article about w3 I'm still trying to figure out how gaming becomes more legit. With games like DoD:S and CS. How does gaming grow into a business?
Right now even with my small experience in competitive gaming in DoD:S I'm wondering how someone goes from being a Cal-O scrub to a MLG and how do businesses protect themselves from EMO players crying and quitting. There have to be contracts and player history that gives investors some kind of protection against players quitting for EMO purposes.
How does a contract work for someone who is underage. Most will hold the parents responsible.
I guess we could compare it a great deal to sports already being played but e-Sports are different in many ways. Plus what about the shelf life of a MLG?
The idea of gaming becoming a business doesn't take the fun out of it but merely validates it as something that people pay attention to. Why? Money Talks!
