Moveups likely.
There is no real worry as matches are being played next week Nov. 28th due to thanksgiving.
CAL could have also been waiting on any FF makeups or other matches to be completed (they had till sunday night) and then the admin was simply not around or was unable to do the schedules yet.

Where does it say we are skipping this week of play? I don't see it. And I still want to know who we are playing. Why do Invite and Main and not do Open at the same time? WTF

Week 3 11-14-07 Coire *
Week 4 11-28-07 Rails *
Notice there is no 11-21-07.
As for why the schedules don't all come out at the same time, it depends on the admin. Certain admins cover certain divisions. So some are done faster than others. You also have to wait for all the matches to complete before you schedule the next round.
IE open always takes longest because there is always multiple ff wins and losses. They have till Sunday to reschedule or do a makeup match. Being such a big division and having teams which are harder to communicate with, you usually have to wait till sunday when matches can no longer be played.
Main usually has no FF's so schedules can come out as early as thursday night (as long as there are no disputes and all matches have been played).

It's because main and invite are special brackets for special people and nobody cares half as much about open.
Sad but true.
EDIT: and of course this includes players also who don't care and teams that FF every other week.

There are more people in OPEN than there are in MAIN and INVITE combined, and I'm sure they care very much about their schedules. So regardless of how much YOU care, THEY do.
OPEN schedules are not for the people in MAIN to worry about - so dont worry about it.
Negative!

What he says is true, regardless of the # of players. Also, they probably get schedules out earlier because Main and Invite care more about who they play than Open players do, well because 75% chance its a pub clan youre playing.

Umm chad slow down buddy. First and foremost, I'm in open, not main. Also, when I was talking about players who don't care I'm talking about the OPEN teams that don't show up on match nights causing massive amounts of forfeits therefore making the schedulers take longer to update and do schedules. Did you even read my post before quoting it?

It would be nice if they could do it in alittle timlier manner

Yes I did. And it sounded suspiciously like the one I deleted 5 mins prior saying how no one cares about open. People DO care about open - and those are the guys in it. Nuff said.

Would people stop saying who cares about open....many people care like the people IN open. 99% of you once was in open before at one point so stop saying it. They are an important part of this community just like main and invite are.

Um, no, it has nothing to do with them - in fact, I thought he was some guy from main. Thats not the point I'm trying to make - my point is people care about open, and I'm tired of all the mainvite guys saying "no one cares about open" - cause clearly some people do.

Let me repeat myself once again:
I play day of defeat source in the CAL-OPEN division.
And once again let me say that when I say people don't care, I am referring to the cal admins and ppl responsible for RUNNING the league that tend to focus more on main and invite than they do on open, hence our schedules taking a long time. Also, it has to do with some TEAMS and PLAYERS in open who don't seem to care and who forfeit matches or fail to report them in which case results cannot be updated...HENCE our schedules taking a long time. This is the last time I will attempt to make sense to people who can't read.

Wow there tough guy I didn't call you out at all so there was no reason for you to post this. There was a few other people who said "who cares about open" (which there posts was deleted but I can still see them) so how about you tone it down a little bit there.

I would just like to point out that I am in the 1% that never played in Open =P
PS- KEEP IT IN CAL-O SCRUBS =P
PPS- The real reason why it takes longer to get your schedule is because there are 100000 teams in Open to schedule, while there are like 5 matches TOTAL in Main and Invite. It doesn't take a genius to figure this out.
PPPS- Deadbeat's right though.

Well, they *do* have to wait until sunday night bare minimum for all the open teams that have rescheduled. Then for those who haven't reported, they're supposed to FF them both as well as finish up the disputes. I'm not sure how long those generally take, but it could be a while, as with the number of teams, they're could be lots of disputes.
But I don't think i've ever seen them come out later than Monday before.
So 1 match that should have been determined by Sunday is holding this up...those pieces of sh!t.
I don't care if anyone cares - I just want to make sure I don't keep scrimming the team I'm going to be playing.

I have a feeling that since the match isnt until NEXT week they're just not putting the hurry on it.
