Basically this is the release of the past week of coire. There were a lot of submissions but I tried to find the absolute best there was. I hope you all enjoy it and feel free to leave any posotive/negative feedback.

The only thing I don't really like are the intro and the random smoothers at around 2:30. I liked the FOTW that you did from Lennon last season where it basically just popped directly into the frags.

Good job Rookie! It's obvious that the demos uploaded play the biggest factor in the FOTWs of course just don't feel discouraged off from what people say on other public forums (gotfrag). If anyone thinks they can do better I'd like to see them step up to the plate and work with those type of frags given. Anyways, thanks for taking the time making the FOTW hope to see another sweet one in teh future!

I don't think they're complaining about the work done with the frags given, they're complaining about the frags given in the first place. Since DoDS isn't as good as it used to be (according to them) the movie must suck because the players featured aren't "known." I agree some of the frags weren't the best, but a lot of them were good.

The players featured aren't known to the people at gotfrag because half of them don't play play dods anymore and just troll the dods forum (only god knows why). All they remember are the big names from cal-i teams back in seasons 3, 4, and 5 when the fact is barely any of those guys play anymore

Let them cry DEAD GAME as much as they want.. as long as peeps like us hang and play the game will never be dead... besides... look how bad CS:S is and its still going on.. that game is in my opinion a dead game. Havent played it since zombie mod was first released for it, and as far as straight CS:S.... last i played was the day before dod:s was released.

still a shitty game. i honestly have no idea how people can play that game for more than 10 minutes. me and some buddies from my school started up a little pub clan. Within a week of pubbing like a half hour a day, i was top fragging in scrims, and hating every minute of it.

I saw nothing wrong with the Frags or the people that made them.
What's wrong with getting some newer faces out on the league scene.

My frag(s) probably sucked in comparison to all the no-scopes and rifle slaughters..but at least it was something different. Didn't see an auto but twice in that video.

What they're talking about Grim is two things :

1) The big name players from the previous seasons don't play anymore, so a bunch of the trolls at gotfrag are going to hate anything done with these "new" people.

2) Some of the previous FOTW had *amazing* frags in them. While this one has a few good ones in there, theres not a lot of amazing kills. This is mainly due to the low number submitting. I think there were ~15 who submitted to this one - previous seasons would see many more than that. And more selection gives you better frags oppertunities.

I have all the FOTW done from S5 to now. If I had some place to upload them I would so you could see what I'm talking about.

I seem to remember anvil 2 seasons back containing no invite players, a small handful of main players and quite a few "nonames". Even then the best shots were ones through windowsills or rifle shots.

I think there might be a few more submissions this week. Coire isn't really the best map for fotw because heavies just had to gay it up and factory is basically a huge choke point unless you get on the floor.

Frankly when I'm playing in a match I tend to make my shots count rather than hoping for some bs double kill or wall shot. If we aren't bothing with kill streaks unless they are really tight together I'll just look for any sick headhots etc that I make.

they can be if they get re-rendered at a smaller resolution/bitrate that makes the video fall within YouTube's restrictions (I believe it is 100mb or 10 minutes)

Yep. Lots of guys who still play are in there. They're just not submitting now. And look at the amount of people featured in each FOTW - its almost the same number that submitted for this one.

Simply put - we need more people to submit. Thats it. Theres only so much you can do to make people care. So just suck it up and get your team-mates to submit as well.

jisforjosh, banks, and jimmy have some pretty sick kills in those. s5 is when i got back into dods and was looking for a team to play with. i wish i would have made the deadline to join. :/

I'm going to submit for sure on Rails. I had the distinct pleasure of feeding it to Rookie and to a lesser extent, Swarm, in a recent scrim. For a half. Then I proceeded to shit the bed and go .5kdr - again, thanks to those two.

I think that if a few of the people who already do submit got their team-mates to do the same (or do as I do and tic the demos for em) we could get a lot more submissions and increase the level of quality drastically.
