Gotfrag is supposed to hold some special value simply because it connects a large number of communities. But do you actually go to the other forums? I know I don't. I stumbled into the DOD 1.3 forums and didn't even stay to read anything.

Sure it is an easy way to locate the community for new players but I found trypants back in the day easy enough.

Fragdods is looking like it is going to be the next big thing considering they have frontpage news and are working pretty hard at it. Time will tell if they keep up the same work eithic.

Yeah but thats the thing. Neither fragdods nor dodshub had content. Fragdods came out of know where and had content. Its not like the people that did the articles couldn't have done so here, infact half the articles are from DoDSHub. I really don't see why both Pande and his writers, team up with the DoDSHub staff and all contact the GotFrag staff since they're looking.

You guys constantly whine about GotFrag but not one of you takes the initiative to contact the higher ups and change it. If you want this game to survive and stay around, GotFrag is your answer with the right mods

yup gotfrag is a middle school playground. the attitudes you see there now came from the 1.3 community. some of those people take gaming as if their life depends on their own e-reputations. they wont give up in trying to make other people look bad in order to make themselves look good. and it won't change until a lot of those kids go outside which might never happen. a personal site like dodshub or fragdods is a much better opportunity than gotfrag. i really suggest saving your effort fuzz. like i said many of us have already tried and were told that "we have to work up the chain" on gotfrag. so basically for a year we will do bitchwork while cypher laughs at us from his e-throne of e-glory and bismal lies about stealing peoples chalupas. then after a year you will have slightly more power but not enough to actually set some rules and moderate the forums like they should be modded..

Real shining example of the norm over at gotfrag. Let alone looking at the trypants death thread where everyone predicts that dods would be so much better off if gotfrag was the only community site. Guess what? Two other community sites have been created. The reason why? Because the people on these sites don't like gotfrag.

Okay, I know this is a few days late and all, but here's the deal behind Gotfrag.

The reason it hasn't and will NOT be updated for DoDS is because DoDS is nothing more than a filler game on GF. Yes folks, you've heard it here and everywhere else about this game. I got the information straight from the horse's mouth. Cypher and Bismal have no power over this, as it simply goes above their heads. The section WILL be replaced by another game, most likely COD4. Plenty of people have offered to help the DoDS section, hell even replace Sean and Ben if need be, but to no avail. Hell I've even applied for a staff job on GF before, and received no reply.

So, for those who wish to revive the section, the best of luck to you. But unless something crawls up the ass of the hierarchy on GF, I don't see it happening.
