Haha, yeah, the tinsel strength of the tiny string (even if its wire) is not enough to lift a one ton vehicle. Pretty funny though. I doubt it could even be done with hydrogen and weather balloons. Good topic for Mythbusters though! Someone should submit that video to them.

After watching the video, if that many balloons could somehow lift that car, then one of those columns would easily lift the guys, which they didn't
