PCIe 2.0

I was wondering if anyone knows if the new PCI-e 2.0 cards are backwards compatible to a non 2.0 MoBo. In other words, if I buy the new 8800GTS 512, which is PCI-e 2.0, will it work in my PCI-e slot on my Nvidia 680i board.

yea jackal, my 880GT OC pci 2.0 is running fine in my pcix16 slot.
