CAL used to have some that was legal but when pure mode came out they broke. So no you can't use them, stock is all you can use.

The thing I don't get is, sv_pure blocks some plugin aspects, custom models, and custom textures. Wouldn't CAL-ACS, since it takes screenshots, be able to curb models and custom textures with sv_pure set to 0?

i think if the server has the xhairs, the client will be able to use them too even if sv_pure is set to 1. am i right?

No one can make them, its either sv_pure 0 and custom xhairs, or sv_pure 1, no xhairs, but serverside protection from model and material hacks.

I found that looking at the crosshair at the guy that I am shooting only infuriates me when it passes through them, or cof's its way around it. Now I play with with my back turned, randomly mashing keys and whispering sexual innuendos into my mic

that'll never happen. it creates too much work for our cal admin, who are already falling behind on the easy work at hand. ie- getting open schedules out.

It does but when we had Sentinel, it did the same thing that sv_pure did. Sv_pure is the reason why we don't have the CoF plugin, from what Loki and other admins have told me.

tis true...cal said that pure mode would break sentinel all together when pure mode came out. But it doesn't break it cause I had sentinel on my pub server with pure more enabled for a few weeks and it played fine. I ended up having to take pure mode off cause the pub kiddies didn't like they couldn't use there models and crosshairs and shit. blah

Seriously, we should start a petition. We play in CAL, they make the rules and should hear us if we have an important opinion! Sentinel was great but I did not like the cof or pistols. We should use the system again if we can because it allowed us to check rates (from experience I think it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED in scrims and matches) because I believe that some people have taken advantage of that lost asset. WTF I will make a petition %@#& I will make 2! Keep a close eye on fragdods and see how many people I piss off/make happy.
