Decentish yes. Didn't really see the point though. Perhaps the article is for non-gamers?
It didn't catch my interest. So I didn't read the rest.

Duuuuuuuude that is hilarious. You can almost relate the practice of "Gold Farming" and what it did to the WoW economy to trends in the modern day economy. That's crazy.

Yeah it's for casual or non-gamers. I didn't know about the wow and lineage stuff, so that was interesting to me.

People can make a killing gold farming if they work it like a 9-5. The hard part is actually trafficing the stuff. You can now roughly farm 600-800g in a day if you work at it with drops/mats and such. You could probably sell that for roughly $80-100 if you get a stupid buyer. In China they're paying people very little money to make tons in USD (since that's who usually buys the gold).

that might get taken a little more seriously if there weren't a Google ad on that page that asked if Dennis Kuccinich was going to be the next president.

Slate's a pretty big deal.
The people that code cheats / farm gold etc. usually are not bad guys, it's the people that use their products and lie about it that are the problem. So I think calling the cheat developers racketeers and rapist is a bit overboard, they are just turning a buck where there is a market.

All I'll say is the next Harry Potter book is going to be called "denny kuccinich and a cold day in hell"
