1) DoD:S Hub planned on showcasing the FOTW. Saying that in order to actually suceed with our plans a few people need to have access to the FOTWs. This does not mean hours after its been released but we need some "hands on" as to when it is going to be released and maybe a little time to start the conversion of the clips (from the movie > Flash) prior to its release. That way when people visit the site, it plays the trailer and all you have to do is click the trailer to download the full version. This among other things were planned for the FOTW.

2) Josh, in all reality you should take a back seat to calling on peoples' egos. You sir, are in desperate need of a reality check. This is the interwebz and it will always be that way. Just because you're 'oh-so-cool' and provided an FTP source (WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!) doesnt mean you've "saved" shit. We spoke with Achilles as to what needed to be done for the FOTW makers so we could help out and get the release information and even a download prior to it's release. We offered an FTP for submissions, FTP for direct downloads as well as a section dedicated to the FOTW off the main site (when it's released this weekend). Among other things, forums / project management software, etc. - Anything that would make it easier to have the FOTW made and organized.

3) Rookie and Spy (seriously, remember that was SPY posting)... have recently parted ways with the group that was making FOTW and decided they would make their own e-organization. I have no problem with that but if I am going to go ahead and follow through with my plans for the FOTW - I cannot have #sweetvidz all over the place. This website is not dedicated to #sweetvidz but to DoD:S ...

It has nothing to do with whos "channel" the FOTW was made under. In all reality I could care less. We spoke with Achilles to find out what it was the "team" needed, what could we provide and how much was needed...

However, we really wanted to follow through with the trailer and submissions all over various websites of the FOTW. Rookie actually made a comment that "Only 6 people watch the FOTW" and I was trying to hard. Well - everyone is crying that the game is dead or going to die. We were trying to come up with ideas to get the movies out there and available for people to watch and maybe take interest.

Ok, Lets get to this down to a simple answer.

Who is doing FOTW and where is it being hosted?That is all that should matter who gives a shit about irc channels. The only thing that matters is that your FOTW you want to do for DOD:s actually gets put up by DOD:s sites (dodshub or gotfrag or both) so it can be viewed and commented on. Your IRC channel does jack shit for the game when it comes down to it.

You have 2 options give "rights" to host your FOTW first to either Gotfrag (Which will probally not give you any space to host it on let alone space for demos and shit) or to DOD:s Hub (Which has already said they will).

Really if you try and host the FOTW under your IRC name you are an idiot. This is a DODs FOTW you will not get e-famous for your editing skills for making it let alone get your IRC popular for doing it.

All you get to do is make FOTW have it hosted and promoted on a site and add your little irc channel spam at the end or at the beginning of the vid.
